May 26, 2023 – Mayor Velmor P. Sumabat presiding over the MDRRMC meeting. Agenda:Pre-Disaster Risk Reduction Assessment (PDRA) and Contingency in preparation for typhoon “MAWAR”.

The Local Government Unit of Alilem, Ilocos Sur headed by HON. MAYOR VELMOR P. SUMABAT conducted a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) meeting to prepare the municipality for the possible effects of Typhoon “MAWAR” and to implement measures based on emergency preparedness and response protocols which include dissemination of warnings and deployment of rescue teams.

MDRRMO also presented the weather forecast, updates and all areas susceptible to floods and landslides as provided by DOST-PAGASA and DENR-MGB RO1. The said meeting was attended by Local and National Line Agencies , School Heads and Barangay Captains.
